Anti-trans radfems: “Biologically, everyone’s mostly the same. Socially, we’ve been socialized to submit to men. There can’t be any innate need to transition, and patriarchy must have invented transsexualism to assimilate gender-nonconforming men, or for the sex industry, or for fetishes…”

Anti-trans Dirt, Greer, and patriarchy: “Biologically, the two sexes are completely different. Social differences are biologically hardwired. There can’t be any real transition because it can’t change your chromosomes, and chromosomes determine everything…”

Five years from now, redpillers: “Radical feminists invented ‘autogynephilia’ as a conspiracy to convince men that taking female hormones would be manly. It is a threat to our precious bodily fluids!”

It’s a coalition based on contradictory beliefs.

But I hate the “horseshoe ‘theory'” in general. It leads to harmful nonsense, like “anti-fascism is the real fascism” i.e. saying that “if survivors of neo-Nazi violence speak out about neo-Nazi violence, that’s just as bad as neo-Nazi violence.”

I take issue with this. TERF s only think thier politics are left. Thier ideas about gender are very conservative and imho rooted in authoritarianism. There are tons of trans women with far left politics that in no way resemble far right positions.

Exactly. The TERF concept of gender is the same hoary conservative binary with inverted values. The quotes captured on this page are not examples of “OMG left-wingers being as bad as right-wingers!!” but rather self-proclaimed feminists uncomfortably realizing that they are not, in fact, feminists.

  3. In what way do you think TERFs are left wing? They are an elitist hate cult of sexist feminazis IMO, but none the less I think self identification of transgender undermines our credibility of being a genuine condition.
